The Barn became one of the most well known and celebrated Hudson Valley vacation rentals once it appeared in a handful of slow living stories in the early days of Kinfolk magazine.

We helped the owners bring the vision to life during their decade of stewardship of this unique property, from 2012 to 2022.

Bit by bit and in between rentals, we transformed the Barn with upgrades to all plumbing and electrical systems, we expanded the rustic kitchen to include modern appliances, we added a full downstairs bathroom, a new back deck with oversized outdoor shower, we restored the iconic rolling barn door and installed a state of the art solar system - all while maintaining the authentic rustic look and feel of this beloved 100+ year old structure.

The only thing we didn’t touch? The original siding. At the request of a local historian, we left it just as it was—weathered and full of character. “People are now paying gobs of money to replicate this exact aesthetic,” he pointed out.
