Andrew Personette
Vice President
Andrew grew up building single family homes with his father, a life long carpenter in midwestern Illinois. He experienced both the construction of, and the joy of living in, a precursor to Passive House; a super insulated, super sealed home built by his father in 1986. Andrew trained in fine arts and fashion at The School, The Art Institute of Chicago. After a stint in the NYC fashion world, and inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s Design Science - the use of design to improve the quality of life - Andrew moved on to designing eco-friendly furniture and interiors in NYC. After a decade in the city, he moved to the Hudson Valley in 2012, focusing on a combination of Passive House and Permaculture design to create regenerative communities.
Andrew has gifted multiple swarms of honey bees to the Hudson Valley from one very successful top-bar beehive, and wishes it required less defense spending to keep chickens and gardens alive with the incredible amount of wildlife and deer in our region.
